In April 2007 I began working with Axis Dance Co at a 3 week residency at the Maggie Allesee National Center for Choreography (MANCEE). In May, I moved to Oakland, CA to continue work with the company. July- August, we worked with Joe Goode and Kate Weare to develope 2 new dances. Axis performed this work October - November, 2007, in Scottsdale AZ, Palmdale CA, San Fransisco CA, Albuquerque NM, and Birmingham Al. In 2008, AXIS will tour in Cedar Falls, IA, Staten Island, NY, Chico, CA, and Cerritos, CA.

Morphology: Fish Girl

In Morphology, a project that began at an artist Residency at the Contemporary Artists Center in North Adams, Massachusetts, I investigate deformity and disability by using prosthetics and movement to transform my body. In July, DESIGN SQUAD, a kids' competition reality engineering produced by WGBH in Boston invited me to offer an engineering challenge for the 2nd season of their show. I challenged the kids to make underwater prosthetics that took their inspiration from sea creatures. I created a podcast with the winning design:

Five Open Mouths, a contemporary dance solo Heidi Latsky choreographed with her own solo, Woman at an Exhibition, premiered at Judson Memorial Church in NYC. Five Open Mouths was presented by Alliger Arts at the BU Theater in Boston, MA in March and by the The Kennedy Center and VSA arts in Washington D.C. in June. Heidi Latsky is currently expanding the work that began with Five Open Mouths and Woman at an exhibition into a full evening-length performance entitled From the Limb.
